“Pen & Ink” focuses on the autobiography adventures of Penny and Inkara Ewart, two sisters from Canvatia that have an otherworldly passion for art. Though they’re different in age, personality, and art preferences,  it’s what makes them an inseparable duo, and they use that to bring joy to themselves, their friends, and their art.

Penny “Pen” Ewart

Pen is the 19-year old sister of Ink and the main artist behind “Pen & Ink”. Quiet, reserved, neat, and elegant in ballet and on the drawing board, Pen believes that art is at its best when it comes from the heart, and hopes she’s a good big sister to Ink. She is also quite the gourmand. Be sure not to self depreciate around her, she can be very supportive…

Inkara “Ink” Ewart

Ink is the 3-year-old sister of Pen and the secondary artist behind “Pen & Ink”, and main artist of “Pon & Eek”, autobiography comics that are drawn from her point of view. Ink is the embodiment of messy. Her ways of walking and talking are disorganized, her attire is always covered in paint, and she uses her ponytail as her paintbrush. Despite this, her out-of-sync lifestyle is what brings her and everyone else around her immense joy, especially when it involves being around her big sister Pen.

The Bristolians

Bristolians are the main inhabitants of Canvatia (making Pen and Ink the only humans inhabiting). They appear as flat, abstract-like beings that come in a wide variety of colors. Though they all seem identical, they all have their own special personalities. Shouting “Sweet Acrylic!” has become a universal catchphrase throughout them.
